In this video for a segment for BodyBuilding.com, Schwarzenegger takes us on a nostalgic tour of Venice, the first city he moved to in 1968 when he was a young 21-year-old Austrian transplant. He calls Gold’s Gym the “mecca of bodybuilding” at the time and hung out at Muscle Beach where you could get the most even tan (which is better than a tanning salon, apparently). “When you worked out outside you could literally get a tan everywhere,” he says in the video.
