A pair of women’s events take place in Sacramento and Kentucky this weekend as the 2012 IFBB contest season winds down.
SACRAMENTO PRO BIKINI
With two Sacramento Pro wins already under her belt (2010 and 2011), Amanda Latona heads to Northern California looking to become the first three-time winner in the contest’s history. She enters on a high after winning the Border States Championships last week, the fourth win of her career.
Two other top-five finishers from the last weekend will make the trip u – Tiffany Marie Boydston and Noy Alexander. Boydston placed second to Latona last weekend, while Alexander placed fourth.
Seminars from the best in the business add to an already exciting weekend. On Friday night, IFBB Women’s Head Judge Sandy Williamson, two-time Figure Olympia winner Nicole Wilkins, Latona and trainer Kim Oddo will hold a seminar for female competitors. On Saturday two-time Mr. Olympia Phil Heath and trainer Hany Rambod will hold another right after prejudging in the contest venue.
KENTUCKY MUSCLE PRO FIGURE
Ann Titone and Rosalind Vanderpool each won the first for the first time in their respective careers earlier in the season, and both would like nothing more than to cap off 2012 their second of the year. Titone’s win came in August at the Tampa PBW Championships, while Vanderpool won at the Toronto Pro in July.
Alicia Harris, the only other competitor in the contest with a pro win on her resume, has slowly been rounding into form this season. If she can continue to tighten up, Harris could be dangerous in Kentucky.
