Today’s NPC Athlete Spotlight is Chris White NPC Competitor
Chris White: Currently prepping for NPC East Coast, Eastern’s and Nationals
As a former 3 sport athlete in high school which led to a division 2 college baseball scholarship I always had a burning desire to train so I could compete at a high level. Growing up I was always on the smaller side of the competition so I know I either had to be stronger or work harder than the competition. After graduating college with a degree in Criminal Justice, I continued to stay in shape and follow bodybuilding. Just as every kid growing up I once expired to be the next great body builder, although my genetics didn’t agree lol. Fast forward a few years and through a mutual friend IFBB PRO Dean Michael I was introduced to my coach IFBB PRO Dan Hawtin of BodyByGforce. From the first time we met he told me I had a great physique and would do well in this new division called men’s physique. After giving it a couple weeks thought, I called Dan back and we came up for a plan for me to hit the stage. I first took the stage in May 2012 and placed 2nd in my class. I was hooked and went on to compete 8 more times that year including 2 National level shows. Through my journey which is now 10 show in total I have been fortunate enough to make first call outs or place top 5 in all but 1 show. I am currently prepping for the NPC Nationals in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl where I placed 5th year in an attempt to get my IFBB PRO Card which would be a dream come true. If it happens or not my main goal is to inspire, motivate and educate as many many people in the fitness industry in regards to living a healthy lifestyle.
