NPC Contest Previews: April 21

It’s a relatively light weekend as far as the number of contests in the NPC this weekend, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be any excitement. Led by the 520-plus athletes slated to compete in the 30th Anniversary Edition of the Emerald Cup, there will be plenty of action!

EMERALD CUP: SEATTLE, WASHINGTON
During it’s 30-year history, the Emerald Cup has produced a laundry list of IFBB Pro League competitors. Judging by the turnout for this year’s event, there should be several future IFBB Pros stepping on stage this Friday and Saturday. The exciting two-day event features concert quality sound, big screen videos, a Video Wall and an Expo. The Fitness and Figure Championships will be held on Friday April featuring: Emcee Alicia Marie, IFBB Fitness Pro Sheri Vucick, Cirque Act Eric “The Wheel” Saintonge and Russ Testo.

“Almost all of our Overall Fitness Champions have become Pros beginning with Dale Tomita in 1995, who went on to become the first ever Overall NPC Nationals Fitness Champion,” Promoter Brad Craig says. “Most of our Overall Figure Champions have turned pro as well.”

The Bodybuilding Judging begins Saturday morning April 21st at 10:00 AM, followed by the Bikini and Men’s Physique Championships at 12:30 PM, Featuring co-emcees Alicia Marie and Mike O’Hearn. The Bodybuilding Finals begin at 7:00 PM Featuring: Emcee Kim Farrison, Arnold Champion, Branch Warren, Brandon Curry, Nate Detracy and Eric “The Wheel” Saintonge.
